why choose us

Why SP Outdoor Solutions

Professional exterior cleaning is about more than using high pressure. SP Outdoor Solutions selects the correct equipment, pressure and cleaning method for each surface to remove dirt, moss and biological growth effectively without damaging the material underneath.

We take care around joints, edges, render, timber and surrounding landscaping, ensuring each surface is cleaned properly and finished to a high standard. Where suitable, we can also apply sealing after cleaning to help protect the surface and keep it looking better for longer.

WHAT WE OFFER

Complete Blockwork & Brickwork Solutions

Quality walls, pillars, steps and structural garden features built to complement your outdoor space.

01

Garden boundary walls

Built plumb, level and properly bonded on a footing sized for the height. Over two metres, or over one metre next to a road, a wall needs planning permission — we check first.

02

Brick and block pillars

Gate pillars built with a reinforced, concrete-filled core. A hollow pillar cannot carry a heavy gate for long, and the crack always appears at the top hinge.

03

Retaining blockwork

Dense block laid to hold ground rather than divide it, with granular backfill and drainage behind the face so water is not building up against the wall.

04

Steps and level changes

Every riser the same height through a flight, with a slight fall on the treads so water runs off rather than freezing on them.

05

Feature brickwork and details

Soldier courses, corbels, recessed panels and arches. Brick and mortar colour matched to the house, because a new feature that nearly matches looks worse than one that clearly does not.

06

Rendered blockwork walls

Blockwork rendered to a smooth or textured finish, with a bell cast at the base and a capping on top so rainwater is thrown clear instead of tracking down the face.

07

Repair and repointing

Mortar matched to what is already there. Hard cement pointing on soft old brick or stone traps moisture and blows the face off — it is the most common and most expensive repointing mistake.
