French drain installation
Perforated pipe bedded in clean gravel and wrapped in geotextile so the surrounding soil cannot silt it up. Skipping the membrane is why French drains stop working after a few years.
Channel and linear drains
Set across thresholds, garage entrances and the low edge of a patio, with the surface laid to fall towards them and a proper outfall at the end.
Soakaway installation
Sized to the area it drains and sited at least five metres from the building. On heavy clay a soakaway will not empty, and we will tell you that before you pay for one.
Surface water management
Getting rainwater to a legal outfall — a soakaway, a watercourse or a surface water sewer. Never into a foul drain, which is both illegal and how basements end up flooded.
Patio and driveway integration
Falls and channels designed into every surface we lay as part of the job, not quoted as an extra once the water has nowhere to go.
Lawn drainage
A land drain network run to an outfall for genuinely waterlogged ground, or aeration and sand slitting where the problem is compaction rather than water table.
